Day 214 - Tuesday, August 2, 2011 – Kayla, one of Jordyn's BFF's, is moving to Chicago soon, so the girls (Megan, Kayla, Jordyn, and Shelby) went on a farewell shopping trip. We're going to miss you, Kayla!!

Day 212 - Saturday, July 31, 2011 – The next generation pose at the Shellnut reunion. (l to r - Jacob, Jordyn, Aaron, Bailey, Julianna, Cordelia, Dianna). This year's reunion was more sad than anything else. There are no more Shellnut siblings left in Michigan and the four who live out of state couldn't find it in them to make the trip north. I don't blame them. Miss you, Dad.

Day 210 - Friday, July 29, 2011 – Liam is blaming Owen for the fact that he has been locked out of his iPod Touch for over 21 MILLION minutes...um that's like 40 years according to my math!! I'm blaming Liam who insists on assigning a password to his device for no reason other than to keep his younger brother from playing with it. Unless he has secrets of national defense stored on this thing that I don't know about, he has no business putting a password on it in the first place. It's off to the Apple store for us.

Day 208 - Wednesday, July 27, 2011 - I wish sound could come through in a photo. I told Owen I would read him a book if he got one from his room and met me in my bed. He grabbed a favorite, If You Give a Moose a Muffin, and dove under my covers thinking I couldn't see him there. But he was giggling so loud that even if he would have managed to cover himself completely, I would have heard him there.

Day 207 - Tuesday, July 26, 2011 - I told Owen that he could play the XBox if he and Ronnie cleaned the basement. He enthusiastically told me that he and Ronnie had already cleaned the basement, so I asked him to take some pictures as proof. He came back upstairs having taken about 20 photos, of every angle of every room of a spotless basement, including the BATHROOM!

Day 206 - Monday, July 25, 2011 - Baseball ended yesterday, and football conditioning officially began today. Coach Schlicht works with Liam and some of the boys. I LOVE football season, but I'm not ready for fall to begin just yet.

Day 204 - Saturday, July 23, 2011 - We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Christmas in July at Julie and Win's house. We went for rides on the pontoon boat, played bean bag toss, had squirt gun fights, and sipped on cold beverages in the hot sun.

Day 200 - Tuesday, July 19, 2011 - Liam was invited to help Mitchell at an indoor carnival that Renee hosted for her residents at the Lake Orion Nursing Center. They thoroughly enjoyed their day dressed as clowns, eating cotton candy, and playing games.

Day 198 - Sunday, July 17, 2011 - As Kevin took off for a two week business trip to Europe, the boys and I joined the Petoskeys on Lake Orion. As we were slowly tooling around the lake, a young lady on a passing pontoon boat said, "That's the most good looking boys on one boat that I've ever seen." I think every single one of them blushed. Except for Owen.

Day 197 - Saturday, July 16, 2011 - My cousin Curtis came to stay with us for a couple of nights. He loved playing with the baby, and Ashton seemed intrigued by Curtis, too.

Day 196 - Friday, July 15, 2011 - Amy and I have been taking a Yin Yoga class at Soothe Your Soul for the past couple of Fridays. This type of Yoga stretches your joints. The mind, body, spirit connection during this practice is palpable. Sad to see this four week session come to a close.

Day 195 - Thursday, July 14, 2011 - Tonight at midnight was the opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part two. The theater was packed and several showed up in costume, including someone Jordyn knew from school who came as a Death Eater. Jordyn borrowed his costume to snap a quick pic.
