Day 246 - Saturday, September 3, 2011 – Jordyn, Mair, and I joined our Zumba instructor, Leslie at Arts, Beats, and Eats in Royal Oak to attempt a world record for the largest Zumba fitness class ever. While we had more than 900 people, the record to beat was upwards of 1,300. So, unfortunately no world record for the LARGEST Zumba fitness class, but I'm pretty sure we now hold the world record for the HOTTEST Zumba fitness class ever. We melted into pools of sweat on the pavement, and had a lot of laughs in the process.

Day 245 - Friday, September 2, 2011 – Owen came running into my office to tell me that there was a snake in the garage. Sure enough, when I went to check it out, there was a garter snake curled up at the rear bumper of the Tahoe. As I went to look for a rake or something to remove the snake from the garage, I think the snake was startled and it quickly slithered into the bowels of our garage. For the rest of the day, Owen and his BFF, Ronnie went snake hunting in the garage (note the green net). At one point, Owen got a couple of eggs from the fridge to set on the driveway as bait. When the eggs didn't work to attract the snake, Owen decided to CRACK the eggs on the driveway, where they proceeded to poach in the hot sun. Nice.

Day 244 - Thursday, September 1, 2011 – Ashton does this huffing and puffing thing that he thinks, and we all think, is absolutely hysterical. What ever would we do without this constant source of entertainment?

the lid and straw to a water bottle. Even at 16 months, little boys naturally know how to turn normal household objects into weapons.
