Day 135 - Sunday, May 15, 2011 - Jordyn waits for Jacob (who is now her ex-boyfriend, but still a friend) and his mom to pick her up to go to the Palace to see the Akon/Usher concert. What a gorgeous girl!
Day 134 - Saturday, May 14, 2011 - Jordyn beat Liam and Owen at the squirt gun game at the Hamburger festival to win this little stuffed monkey. It was chilly and misty, but we still got our buns downtown for a couple hours.
Day 132 - Thursday, May 12, 2011 - Kevin returned from his two week trip to Poland tonight and all is right with the Hillary world. The boys flock to his side, bringing him beer, watching him fish, and clinging to his shoulder.
Day 130 - Tuesday, May 10, 2011 - Tonight I golfed with Kim (as Amy's sub) in their Par-Tee Girls golf league at the Fountains in Clarkston. An enjoyable (albeit windy) night! p.s. I feel like a giant next to Kim in this picture. Maybe it's because I was wearing my Shape ups.
Day 128 - Saturday, May 8, 2011 - Mother's Day at my mom's house on the swing with all of my babies. We started the day congregating in my bed around 7 am, all five of us. It was a great way to start the day. Jordyn got me a bracelet, Liam wrote me a poem, and Owen wrote a news article about how I'm the best mom on earth (except I'm not trustworthy). We had a great day!
Day 126 - Friday, May 6, 2011 - 3-2-1, Let it rip! The boys have been thoroughly enjoying their new Beyblades and "stadium". They go at it for hours. Why didn't I buy this for them months ago?
Day 125 - Thursday, May 5, 2011 - Owen's first grade concert. He's one of the cows in the barnyard. And he barely sang two notes. Afterwards I asked him if he had fun. "No, I hate songs. All songs." Moo.
Day 124 - Wednesday, May 4, 2011 – Liam took the field at second base during his first ever kid pitch baseball game. The weather for his game was delightful. Exactly what baseball weather should feel like.
Day 123 - Tuesday, May 3, 2011 – Owen dons a helmet as pitcher during the first game of his first year on a Coach Pitch baseball team. As I was watching the game I couldn't help but think, "Should I really be able to see my breath during baseball season?"
Day 121 - Sunday, May 1, 2011 – When I returned from my girls' weekend in Traverse City, Kevin had already departed for a two week trip to Poland which will span Mother's day next Sunday. Knowing he would be gone on MY day, I told him earlier in the week that he'd better deliver on my gift this year....and did he ever! This is the first installment of my quarterly case of wine club that he had set up very artfully on the table in my office. Thanks hon, but there might not be any wine left when you get home.
Day 120 - Saturday, April 30, 2011 – Leopard print Snuggies and tiaras with some of the Glenmoor Gals at Tandem Ciders during the Leelanau Peninsula's Sip and Savor. Work it, work it...Pretend you've got a secret!
Day 119 - Friday, April 29, 2011 – Owen had a loose front tooth that he was wiggling tonight. When I asked him if he wanted me to pull it out for him, I expected him to resist, like most normal kids would do. Instead, he was thrilled at the proposition and took me up on the offer immediately. So, I grabbed a paper towel, wrapped it around the tooth, gave a little twist and tug, and out it came.
Day 118 - Thursday, April 28, 2011 – Ashton loves his new toy. No, I'm not talking about the cute little zebra thing he's riding (thanks Parsons!), which he does indeed enjoy. I'm talking about his tongue!!
